How to unapply the customer ledger entries when the entries already applied and posted?

I have the scenario that I have to Unapply the entries which were already Posted and while I applying the Unapply I am getting the error as "The latest transaction must be an application in Customer ledger entry no:".Document type: Payment.

Please help me to fix this issue by sharing the valuable comments

If an entry has been applied by more than one application entry, you must unapply the latest application entry first.
