"Support" for NAV 2016 RTC client on Windows Server 2008 R2 with Citrix ?

The NAV 2016 RTC client can actually install on the 2008 R2, but not on a plain 2008-server.
The "system requirements" only states Windows Server 2012.
Does anyone have any info on this?
(i.e What is the "official" reply since the installer actually allow us to install on the 2008 R2 server and the requirements dont list this?)
