Error when connecting to NAV 2016 using Office 365 Authentication

llceaullceau Member Posts: 2
When signing in to NAV 2016 using O365 authentication, we receive the following error in the web client - "We received a bad request." Additional technical information: AADSTS70001: Application with identifier http://domain/NAV/WebClient was not found in the company.onmicrosoft.com

Windows clients can login ok when "ClientServicesCredentialType" value="NavUserPassword"

When a client uses "ClientServicesCredentialType" value="AccessControlService" we get the following error:

The Access Control Service webpage is not working properly

This problem can be caused by a variety of issues, including:
Internet connectivity has been lost.
The website is temporarily unavailable.
Scripting is disabled for the webpage.

If you are going to use O365 authentication then NAV needs to be set up in your Azure Active Directory (the one that is used for the authentication) as an application. If that is not done then you get the AADSTS70001 error message.

On the NAV VM as found in the gallery on Azure this is done by the PowerShell script that sets up your environment - so maybe that is the first place to start.
