Call Windows Folder and open it using C/AL in NAV2015

aliennavaliennav Member Posts: 449
Hi Guys!!
I have a simple requirement for which I am seeking just the function to use.
I have a Page--> Page has some Button--> When I press the Button a specified Windows Folder should be opened.
The path for the Windows folder is stored in some setup. Let's call it as PATH.

So I need to open Windows PATH from click of a button on a Page.

I have read several forums for SHELL command, which NAV2015 says obsolete.

All suggestions are welcome.
:-)

    Hi,

    CU419(File Management) is manage the file and folder. You can be use "BrowseForFolderDialog" function from CU419.

    Thank you very much.
    Now I also need the command to copy all the files present in some X folder whose path is known and paste it in some Y folder with known path.
    The only thing restricting me to use File names is that there are 100's of files.
    Please suggest!!
    Thanks

    there's a table called "File". Use it :) (i usually don't search the code snippet...i'm too lazy, but you are lucky that i was working on this 10 mins ago ;) )

    Files.RESET;
    Files.SETRANGE(Path,'C:\');
    IF Files.FINDSET THEN; //Force to look for a different path to update files table...because of a weird bug that i really dont remember
    Files.SETRANGE(Path,'C:\Temp\');
    Files.SETRANGE("Is a file",TRUE);
    IF Files.FINDSET THEN BEGIN
    REPEAT
    //Rename your files
    UNTIL Files.NEXT = 0;
    END;
