Manufacturing Theory?

Hi All,

Can anyone recommend some good books (or other resources) on Manufacturing Theory? Among other questions these are what I would like to read about:
1) Consideration about when to produce semi-finished products.
2) Parallel or serial production setups.
2) Considerations about MRP.

Above are just some of the top of my head topics I would like to explore.
