Now I want to some How to do.
1. How to switch on the syntax coloring C/AL Editor.
2. How to set Auto-Indent on for Block Code.
3. Is the editor supports Auto-filling of function Names and Shows Parameter list while typing.

Welcome to the most primitive Editor in use in 2005 ...
1. No highlighting
2. Auto=Indent - after Enter the cursor is on same indentations as the line you entered before... no other indentation...
3. While typing no. Only in Symbol menu you can enable inserting of parameters...
to Jesam:
Sorry, but this is for another thread (you are still forgetting that it is OLD environment, not hi-tech visual studio...)

why not some us taking some initative to start wrinting A plug-in for any freely available open source softwares like eclipse...Instead of complaining or saying no
We use eclipse for Java bcoz Java doen't come with its own IDE.
Anyway thankz for your reply...
maybe the problem is that
a) most of us simply don't have the time to do that
b) there is no compiler (that I know of) for C/AL that you could call from another editor, so you would only have syntax highjighting. You would still need to manually export evey piece of code and import it in Navision, and compile it there. Off course, tehre is no way to do a 'compile everything' so you'd never know if your change would not make problems somewhere else (but the same goes when you use the Navision IDE).
c) there is no (that I know of) formal description of the syntax of C/AL, as the editor hides alot of that from the user.
What about Navision 4? Have they upgraded it?
