Windows server 2003 and Navision 3.6

I've installed Navsion 3.6 on a windows server 2003 but i get an error message when the service try to start:

Could not start the navision attain database server FS02 service on local computer.

error 1: Incorrect function

(FS02 is the server navision is installed on)

Is there anyone who can help me.

    Sounds to me like you installed the Application Server.

    Hmm I didn't. I was afraid i was sleeping so i checked it.

    The event viewer gives:

    event: 7023
    Source: Service Control manager

    What is your nettype? TCPS does not work on Navision, and that is the default nettype during installation. It should be regular TCP.

    Are you using the server name or the IP address? Did you add the Navision Database server name to the services and hosts file? Try it with the ip address, that should work.

    I tried it both but it didn't work?

    I think your Cache settings are too high. Try to lower it to a level below 775000 KB.

    Thanx it is working now. I set the cache on 775000.
