NAV 2016 anything to watch out for

David_SingletonDavid_Singleton Member Posts: 5,479
Hi all,
we have our first 2016 client going live hopefully in December. We started the project on 2015 and upgrading them prior to go live. Does anyone have any good/bad experience of what to look out for?

We have been having an issue with the report viewer, it seems to act like a key is being pressed somehow. This is stopping us from export any report to excel or to save it as PDF.

for a quick video, other than that we haven't had any big issues.

With the last few releases the beta program has been really good. Close to a dozen customers are up and running before the release date.

People I talked to are happy with it.

    Good luck with your go-live.

The issues we have found so far are being fixed in the upcoming Cumulative Update 1. But as Mark mentions, we have a good deal of customers running on NAV 2016 already, and we have received valuable feedback from partners during the development of the release.

We were in the TAP program with a customer and it went well, overall. Make sure you have enough RAM configured for the service tiers and the SQL server, when they run on the same VM (32GB for 35 users).

The report preview has a workaround. You can click on Print and then save as excel. So it's not a major issue.

trevoracus: That issue in particular is fixed in CU1, though I cannot see the KB article number yet.
