Upload and Download files to and from external network drive

I have two questions about Nav2013 - Nav2015 and NAS.
1. How to upload files from an external network drive to service tier so NAS can read the files?
2. How to download files from a NAS (Service-tier) to an external network drive?
Hope someone have one or two examples that’s shows how to do it.
