Found a weird one today in my AU 2013 R2/2015 database that I'm a bit confused by :-k . One of our customers regularly renames their customer codes, and we found after upgrading them from 5.0 to 2015 that discounts would sometimes not apply. Surprise surprise, it was only happening on the renamed customers. The related Sales Line Discount records for the customer were not being updated by the rename, and were retaining the old customer code.
What I found was that the "Sales Code" field on the Sales Line Discount table has had the "VaidateTableRelation" property changed to "No" in 2013 R2 (maybe 2013, didn't check). In 2009 (and I assume 5) it was left as default "Yes". I guess this is the reason for the problem, but can't find why that was changed? I'm hesitant to just change it back without knowing why it was done.
Anyone come across this? I assume it's possibly the same for Sales Prices, Purchase Discounts and maybe Purchase Prices, but I've only checked Sales Line Discounts so far.
