Warning: Dimension <dimension> can't be found.

Hi Friends,

Can any one tell me why the following warning message is showing?

I am trying to adjust the currency exchange rate through Adjust Exchange Rate batch job and am getting the below error.

Error: "Dimension PROFIT CENTER can't be found."

In Financial Management > General Ledger setup > Dimensions tab, Global Dimension 1 Code and Shortcut Dimension 1 Code are defined as PROFIT CENTER , PROFIT CENTER respectively.

Hi

When you complete this batch job the errors arise because you will have set code mandatory on the P&L exchange rate gains and losses accounts and Nav does not have the relevant dimensions. So I would try and remove code mandatory (or make same code) assuming the dimension on the exchange rate is not important and then try again.
Having said that I am not sure whether your error is stating it cannot find a dimension code or a dimension code value.

I have not set any value to Value Posting field for P&L exchange rate gains and losses accounts. It is empty.

Ok so it either cannot find the dimension code or dimension code value. Given that these are validated when data is input, this cannot happen but it has. So I would check for excel type invisible characters on the dimension code and dimension code values.
Not sure I can help beyond that short of switching on debugger to find what data causes the issue.
