Journal Background Posting

Hi,

Is there any way to post the General Journal Lines using Background posting feature using NAV 2013 R2?

Has anyone tried posting the General Journal or any Journal's using background posting? similar like posting Sales or Purchase using the background posting feature available in NAV 2013 and later?

Would really appreciate your suggestions. Thanks

Background posting supports only Purchase and Sales document posting out of the box. We have done client modifications to extend it to handle Warehouse Shipment and Receipt postings. This was not too difficult overall, using the base code as a guideline. So I would think that extending to other functions, such as journal postings may also be feasible with some custom development.

Thanks bbrown. Since the requirement is to do background posting for Journal's (and not Document Page), just wanted to check if anyone has already tried this out.
