EDI - XMLport Vs XML (code)

Good Morning All,

I have to make a decision for an EDI implentation that to use XML port for receiving and sending documents or build/read xml files using codeunits.
I wanted to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the two methods.

Using codeunit provides you more flexibility but you have to write everything.
