ODATA not displaying correctly in IE

I am putting an odata url in IE and it works but displays just the date and a line for each record. You are supposed to be able to go to Internet Explorer options, Content, Settings (under Feeds and Slices). Click on "Turn on Feed Reading View" and instead it is supposed to display the ODATA in an xml format. Anyone know why this isn't working? I can run this same url through Excel ODATA Data source and it works fine.
