I currently work on upgrading NAV from 2009r2 to 2015
Everything going great unitl I try to update data.
I ran "Data update" and process stoped by error "Choose a valid field in the Contact table" for one of 7 companies.
I try to continue updating and ignore this error, then other companies all error "The source Code already exists. Identification fields and values : Code = 'PAYNTRECON' ".
So sad I couldnt debug the update code (At least I didnt know how.)
Stucked in this error several days, any one has clue what problem this is and how i can fix it.

This looks like a data issue.
When you import the fob Upgrade601800.fob for the second part of the upgrade there is a set of codeunits.
Codeunit 104049 UpgradeDimensionEntry
Codeunit 104050 Upgrade - SQL Mgt.
Codeunit 104051 UPG6080.W1
Codeunit 104052 UPGDIM6080.W1
Codeunit 104053 Mark Upgrade Toolkit
Codeunit 104055 UPG6080.StartUpgrade
Codeunit 104056 Upgrade User Mgt.
When you use "Data update" the system will use these coudentis to upgrade the data.
If you set a debugger point in one of them (if I remember correctly the first one is 104055 UPG6080.StartUpgrade)
you should be able to find out what is causing the problem.
I hope this helps
Thanks.
When you resume, it resumes too early.
Find the insert for this record and add a IF NOT GET before it and it will bypass the error.
You could do a conditional insert but doing the get first is safer.
