Dynamics NAV Server Trace Events

After doing a bit of reading and watching a few videos, I'm giving this a try. I have collected my test trace with Performance Monitor. I then installed "PerfView" to view the ETL file. This is where I'm having a problem. When I view any of the ALFunction events, I get a "ErrorParsingFields="Specified cast is not valid." on each line. I'm expecting to see the object and function info here.

Any thoughts on where I'm going wrong here? This is NAV 2015.

    Hi,

I just ran into the same issue on NAV2013R2 and when I searched for the "ErrorParsingFields" I found your post.
I haven't seen the error before. It could be the latest version of PerfView. Which version are you using?

    Regards,

    David

I'll have to check on that. But it would have been the latest version at that time. As I downloaded it fresh at that time.

    Hi,

I have the same version. I am trying to get an earlier version to see if it works there.

In the meantime, you can get see the Object and C/AL method information by importing the ETL file into the NAV Application Profiler http://navappprofiler.codeplex.com/

    Hi,

I tried with PerfView version 1.6 and it shows the events for C/AL functions.

I have uploaded it here: http://1drv.ms/1PRo1QM
