Upgrade W1 2009 R2 to NAV 2013 R2 issue

Hi all,

i have an issue concerning the upgrade from Dynamics NAV 2009 R2 to Dynamics NAV 2013 R2.

I am following the tutorial for a cronus database W1 2009 R2. I am following all the steps, import the fob Upgrade601701.1.fob, run the form 104001 Upgrade - Old Version (transfer the data and delete the objects). The i am trying to open the database from NAV 2013. According to tutorial i am expecting to see database conversion instead that i am receiving the following error.

Any help please????

I'm not sure if this is still necessary but the upgrade I did from 2009 to 2013 R : I did that in two steps: first from 2009 to 2013 and then from 2013 to 2013R2.
In the step to 2013, the conversion deleted/changed al the form related properties and so on.

edit: Sorry, did not read correctly. you opened with the correct version

Check again, that you have opened the database by NAV 2013 and not NAV 2013 R2. This is critical. It means, that the exe file must have version 7.00.xxx and not 7.10.xxx

This youtube vid should help some. Look at around 7 min in. You have to open the database using the NAV 2013 "finsql.exe".

You don't need to install the full version of 2013 on your new server. Just copy the client folder to your programs folder and just access the DB with that version of "finsql.exe". I have mine copied to the same install folder as 2013 R2

Thank you all for your reply and especially MVP for the solution. I was opened the database with the NAV 2013 W1 and everything is ok.
