send approval request error

Hi experts,
NAV2013 R2
While click on "send approval request action" in purchase quote document to get approval.Get this error The SMTP mail system returned the following error:Failure sending mail. The remote name could not be resolved:"smtp.gmail.com" (Please find attachment).
In SMTP settings page
SMTP server is :smtp.gmail.com
SMTP Server port is: 587
