Error trying to save a custom table in Nav 2013R2

I have a customer trying to save an object in their custom numbering range and are getting the following error:

THE COMMUNICATION OBJECT,
SYSTEM.SERVICEMODEL.CHANNELS.SERVICECHANNEL, CANNOT BE SUED FOR COMMUNICATION BECAUSE IT IS IN A FAULTED STATE.

They are only on cumulative update 4 so it was suggested I move them up to the most current CU. I am ok with that but I have other customers on CU4 and CU6 that have had no issue with saving and compiling objects.

Can anyone offer a recommended solution here?

    Hi,

If you still have customers on NAV2013 R2 CU4 I would strongly recommend to upgrade them to at least CU6 (take the latest CU is probably the best option) , as soon as possible.
There is a bug in all versino before CU6 that can cause a data loss.
See this link for more details.

    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/nav/archive/201 ... 013r2.aspx

NAV 213 R2 uses management port (Default port 7045) to connect to the database and perform necessary tasks e.g save the object. IF this port is blocked or not added on the firewall (or antivirus software) you will get this error message.
Also newer version of CU deal with this issue much better.

    I hope this helps.
    Thanks.
