how to create positive entry and Lot for an item

I need to create a positive entry for a item with lot no.

so if item dont have Lot No how to create the lot no.
then want to create positive entry for the item..

Is Item Card has Item Tracking Code defined?

Then go to Item Journal and create a Item and enter Item Tracking Lines and Post..

Entry Type should be Positive Adjmt.

In order to assign lot no., item tracking code should be populated and the item tracking code you selected should be setup to use Lot Specific tracking.
Once you have all these setup as Mohana mentioned go to Item Journal and create a positive entry and by using Assign Lot No. function in the tracking lines window you can assign Lot No. and Post.
