How to print different reports in the same way ?

This is the goal:

Printing report X to pdf then report Y ( part of the printing process of X) also needs to be printed to PDF. In case I printed X to a printer , then also Y should be printed to the printer. How can I determine what method is used and how to use this when printing the second report???? Printing to word should also be possible..
