How to set Global dimensions are mandatory in JVs - NAV 2009

Hi,

I face one issue about Global dimension, I have set the global dimension1 and 2. But while JV posting, posting is happening without dimensions. Any one can helpme?

    You have to set them on account ex: customer
    Open Customer and go to Dimensions

    There you have to set Value Posting filed to Code Mandatory or Same Code as per your requirement

    Also check "Account Type Default dimension". You can specify dimension posting rules for table nos. i.e. Customer, Vendor, G/L Account. If a rule is set then it will be checked no matter from where you are posting.

    The setup is actually stored in "Default Dimension" Table where if you see "Code Mandatory" under "Value Posting" field this would mean that no entry can be posted without dimension. While "Same code" means you can specify which dimension should be always selected while posting an entry. You can access this via customer or vendor or G/L card etc > one of the below menu > Dimensions.
