XMLPort read last empty line

Hello,
I'm currently re-writing my old V4 dataports in XMLPorts to load some text files into nav tables.
Most of these text files (csv format for the most part) have a last empty line (CR/LF). This was not a problem with dataports, but XMLPorts are trying to read this line, causing errors (trying to evaluate in a decimal variable an empty text field ...).
Is there a way to avoid this problem ?
