becomming a Freelancer

NavMTLNavMTL Member Posts: 9
I'm currently certified for NAV 2.6 and I have 12 years experience working with Nav, I've been working for a customer for the past 8 years but I would like to become a freelancer and take on some contract work. Anyone know the steps to follow to become a freelancer, (getting the licence and cost if possible). I live in Canada. Thanks.

For getting a license you can contact partners in Canada which can and will share their license.
Perhaps there are other freelancers that united themselves.
Something changed by the way last month for certification: http://mibuso.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=62264

Thanks for the reply, although I'm very surprised to hear that a Partner would be allowed to share his licence. I did see the post concerning the changes to the certifications not being needed anymore but I was just not sure if this affected in any way the issuing of licences.

It's not quite sharing a license. In the Netherlands there are several organizations where freelancers can join the club and that way gain a license. There are costs involved (of course).
I'm also quite curious how this change affects becoming a partner and/or gaining a developerslicense.
