I wanted to install CU 9 updates for NAV 2013 R2.

Do I need to install CU 5 updates first before installing CU 9 updates?

If you are already on NAV13 R2 then you don't need to go first Rollup 5. you can directly install Rollup 9.

I was wondering that there was something about it, and then re-found the post from Saurav.

Acording to the post from Saurav you'll have to do a database convertion, since you don't have the cu5, if this happened from anything older than 5 to 6, I think it will be the same from anything older than 5 to 9.
