How does Navision 3.60 compress BLOB data?

Hi

I'm inserting bmp images into Navision BLOB columns using an external tool. I do this by inserting raw BMP data into the BLOB cells. However, I'd like to insert the data compressed, so it takes up less space.

Do you know what algorithm Navision is compressing/decompressing the data with? Or do you have another idea about how I can insert compressed data into a BLOB, so Navision automatically can decompress it?

You can insert it through:

Navision Application server
Navision Dataport or another C/AL object with apropriate C/AL code...

I do not know the compress alg. and from MS I got only answer that I must use non-compresed BLOB...
