NAV 2013 R2 - Web Client: Import/Export from Excel?

Hello -
Is it possible to import/export to excel via the web client? I've seen blog references that say you can (re: budgets), and others that say it's not possible.
Specifically, I'm trying to use Configuration Packages via the web client to import data into the Gen. Journal.. When I try to use it though, I'm told that it's using an unsupported component (.NET Framework Interop). Is there an additional component that I need to install? (ie: the NAV Excel Add-in?)
