Avg. Cost Adjmt. Entry Point table

Anybody knows if this table supposed to be populated if there are no items with average costing method?

Yes it is. Average cost is still calculated even for items that don't use average cost.There are no bugs - only undocumented features.0

The expected cost comes from the sales line Unit cost. which defaults from Item."Unit Cost".0

And "Unit Cost" is updated from Average Cost.There are no bugs - only undocumented features.0

so why do you need to calculate by just summing (cost actual + cost expected)/qty
why go through the process in adjust cost, if it's used just for expected cost that is not accurate anyways.0 -

I'm sure you'll agree that there are a lot of areas in the base NAV application that can be done more efficiently.
