Error1:Incorrectfunction - Try to improve CACHE

Hi guys,

I want to improve the cache of my database server.

Try to add the following parameters
CACHE=850000
COMMITCACHE=YES

and I follow this steps:

but I'm getting the following error:
"Could not start the Microsoft Business Solutions-Navision Database Server nexis service on Local Computer. Error 1 Incorrect function."

Server machine is a Windows XP - 1,56GB of RAM.

From my experience the stable setting is 700MB, no more. Bigger cache could be unstable or as you experienced, you even do not start the system.

Savatage

You have to build it up to see how much it will accept.

Try 700000 and if that (Restarts) works,
you can try 725000
then 750000
..
until it won't start..then you'll know it's limit on your machine.

850000 is great but just typing that in doesn't make it so.
