editing in tablebox clears var?

Hello
I have global variable defined on the table.
I also have functions which reads and sets this variable.
On OpenForm I set this variable to something ...
When I modify record/s through CA/L (Rec.MODIFY) everything is OK.
But when I MODIFY record through tablebox, variable is cleared.
Is there any way how to keep it set?
