Item Card Location Filter on NAV2013

We are in the process of a client upgrade to NAV2013R1 (too far along with mods to do R2) and the Location Filter, which would filter the Inventory Quantity, etc. when this is filled in on the Item Card, no longer performs this function. In fact, we have added the Location Filter to the Item Card, and we can't even drill down to select a Location and just entering one doesn't accomplish anything. The table still calculates the Inventory Quantity using the same formula. I know there are many changes in how everything operates, but our client is very fond of this feature and is already having a major culture change going from 2.0 to NAV2013. Input would be helpful.
