Unit of Measure on Production Order

Hi Guys,

I have a customer, who would like to produce packs of 6 pieces. They keep their inventory in pieces, so Base Unit of Measure is PCS. But because the items end up in 6-packs instead of producing say 24 pieces, they would rather produce 4 of those 6-packs - its easier to understand for the production staff. So, the production order should produce 6-packs and not pieces.

But is this possible? (Let me know if my question is not crisp clear!)

I dont know way how you create prod orders, but you can do it manually - create manually prod. order header, then fill line - item no, unit measure, Quantity and then use standard function Refresh prod order WITHOUT option Calculate lines.
After that you can post in output journal/prod. journal in changed UoM. But ILE will be of course in base UoM.
