permission

Hi expert, I have a question on a permission. We have switched from the 4.0 to NAV2013. All of the users roles for NAV2013 are exactly the same as those in the old system. But we have a user who cannot place the purchase order. Every time when he selects the vendor id from the purchase form, the system crashes and restarts. Pleas advise! Thank you!

    Just 2013 or 2013R2?

Because there are changes in the system (new tables etc), the roles cannot be same. You mean you have assigned same roles to same users? (they have same roles, but roles have different definition...).

Have you tried to recompile all objects? Before doing that, please, read this blog first: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/nav/archive/201 ... 13-r2.aspx

We have the following tables under the purchase order permission:

    Payment Terms
    Currency
    Finance Charge Terms
    Language
    Country/Region
    Shipment Method
    Salesperson/Purchaser
    location
    G/L Account
    Vendo
    Vendor Invoice Disc.
    Vendor Ledger Entry
    Purchase Header
    Purchase Line
    Vendor Posting Group
    Comment Line
    Order Address
    Gen. Business Posting Group
    Territory
    Vendor Bank Account
    Payment Method
    Tax Area
    VAT Business Posting Group
    Default Dimension
    Detailed Vendor Ledg. Entry
    Responsibility Center
    Item Cross Reference

Could you tell what tables are missing? What I don't understand is even though the permission is not assigned to some tables, the system needs to display the error message instead of crashing when users place purchase order. Thank you!
