2013 Newbie Permissions Property

Hi all
After many years on Nav classic client SQL, I've taken on a new role on Nav 2013.
One of the first issues I've faced is an error regarding 'You do not have the relevant permissions for modify', this was down to the Permissions property on the codeunit not including a table the codeunit is accessing.
I haven't knowingly encountered this property before, or if I have then it has never been populated. Is this a belt and braces approach now employed by Navision? If left blank will the codeunit have full permissions on all the licenced tables?

Life is for enjoying ... if you find yourself frowning you're doing something wrong

You can write to most of the tables without giving the explicit permissions to the objects. You'll only need to use the Permission property to write to objects like tables for posted data, but that hasn't changed between the NAV versions. The online help of the Permission property is quite good: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd338770.aspx0
