"Job Ledger Entry"."Remaining Amount" ?!?

I'm working my way through "C/SIDE Solution Development in Microsoft Dynamics" (as I've mentioned elsewhere) and I've encountered another puzzlement. On page 4-28, field no. 22 in the "Seminar Ledger Entry" table makes mention of "the Remaining Amount in the corresponding Job Ledger Entry".

Here is my puzzlement: there is no "Remaining Amount" field in the Job Ledger Entry table. ](*,)

I've checked both 2009 and 2013. I also asked one of my co-workers, a NAV user with quite a bit of experience, if the concept of "Remaining Amount" even made sense in the context of a Job Ledger Entry. She said that it really didn't.

So... what am I missing here?

    Database Version. Remaining Entry (field 67) has been removed from Job Ledger Entry table in version 5 as far as I remember.

    In which case I bashed my head against that wall for a day and a half because Microsoft didn't update their "Official Training Materials".

    This is where I'd make a snarky remark about Microsoft's documentation, if I were a less professional person. [-(

    Thanks for the info. That makes me feel better about my inability to make sense of those instructions.
