Navision 3.7 and using SQL 2000 as a backend database.
My plan is to create a copy of the production DB to a test DB for some testing purposes.
Using SQL Enterprise Manager I backed up the database to a .BAK file.
I created a new DB "TEST"from within Navision (File - DB - New etc..) and using Enterprise Manger I restored the .BAK file to this TEST db. The TEST DB is created in a different server than the live one. Now when I try connecting it I get an error.
Your program license permits a maximum of 0 non demostration companies. Contact the system manager if you need to setup additional companies.
I checked the license file and it points to our company license and not the cronus file. However I am able to connect to the TEST DB..
HOW?
I open the Tools - License information..(shows my company license) click change and again choose my company license file .Now If I connect, I am able to ..But once I logout I am not able to connect. I need to repeat the steps above to connect it again.
But I have no problem in connecting to the production DB.
