Nav 2013 RTC addin control update Manifest file

Hi,
I am new to Navision and was trying to work on a sample for client control addin. I have followed all the steps as advised in the msdn walkthrough link and i was able to define a page and use the control i deployed and noticed that there were some syntax errors in the script defined in the manifest file but when i try to update the manifest file and re import the zip file i do not see the code to be updated.
Can someone please let me know how to overwrite scripts defined in the manifest file and make them reflect in the page where the addin is used, Also can anyone please let me know is there any way to debug the code/script defined in the manifest file under <script> tag.
