Is the Kitting available in NAV 2009 R2 W1 version? If not, what is the work around to buy in parts, assemble and sell scenarios?
Thank you
Maluwa

If possible you could upgrade to NAV 2013 which contains an assembly (kitting) module?

No it is not available in W1.
You can work around by using the Item BOM Journal or implement Manufacturing. The latter is not that difficult.
Or as Tino suggests you can upgrade to NAV2013 and use the Assembly module.
Kitting is not that well designed in 2009 and I would recommend not to invest to much in it.

as no immediate plan to move into NAV 2013, I will look into the other solution of using BOM.
Thank you
