Customer Account Statement - Time out error!!!

Hi All,
Could you please give me any idea about how to solve this issue?
When i run the report in the path Account receivable -> Report -> External -> Customer account statement. it take nearly 40 minutes and come with the below error.
A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond
