Hi all, quick question, I have multiple companies on one database, how do I set security so that certain users can only access specific ones???? eg. Company 1 can be accessed by user 1, but can not access Company 2/3 or 4???
Regarding permissions, you are able to assign permission groups per company to a user's security profile.
Assuming this is NAV 2013, you can setup per-company permissions as follows:
- Create appropriate permission sets (groups) depending on the companies requirements
- Create the required users in Administration / IT Administration / General / Users
- On the User Permission Sets fasttab of the User Card, assign the required permission sets to the user.
Use the 'Company' column if you need to limit the access provided by an assigned permission set to a specific company.
- If you need to grant access to multiple companies, repeat the assignment of a certain permission set with different companies for each
