License for "old" NAV2009?

Hi Everybody,

I am re-implementing a customer from NAV2009 -> NAV2013. They will buy a new license for NAV2013 but would really like to be able continue logging in to their soon to be old NAV2009 database - just to look at the history, no posting/processing etc.

What would be the best way to go about that in terms of a license?

Thomas

Rename the company to Cronus and use a demo license.

Thanks! The problem seems to though that the Cronus license only supports a 100 MB database whereas the customers is about one Gb.

    Any other ideas?

If they have the NAV2009 license now then they can use it forwards.

If you are upgrading the license instead of buying new one then you should stop using NAV2009 in production after 180 days from upgrade; but even after those 180 days you may use the old license to access the old database.

    Regards,
