Connections problem

Hi expert, I have the NAV server, SQL Server installed in the server. Now I have the development installed in the client. But I cannot connect the development to the server even though I hand typed the server name. Please adivse! Thank you!

Please check if your user has been set as db_owner in SQL.

Which information are you getting when you try to access the server ?

Yes, the user does have the db_owner right, but cannot connect to the server from the development environment. The 1433 port has been opened from the firewall for the server mahchine. I have also installed a sql server in the client machine, and I can browse the network server, but cannot see the database from the mangement studio. Thank you!
