CurrReport.LANGUAGE in RTC client

I have a problem with the CurrReport.LANGUAGE function on 2009 R2 RTC. What I want to achieve is that I can get the various CaptionML strings based on the "Language Code" of a Customer.
Perhaps it is to be expected since the documentation says that the function does not work on the RTC client. But there is no pointer to any possible solution.
Does anyone know of a solution?
I can only think of using GLOBALLANGUAGE, but then this requires that my NAV license contains languages for all my customers' language codes. Alternatively I need to avoid using CaptionML - but that does not feel good...
