Multi Company Data for Contact-table Yes or No

Hi there,

I have a customer that has 6 company's in a NAV2009R2 Database.
He's asking if it's possible to make the Contact-table available for all companies in the database (DataPerCompany = No).

I have never had a request for this before, so I don't know what to expect...

Are there any reasons to advise him not to do this?
Do I have to take additional actions in order to make this work?

All feilds linked to another table (like company No.) or Flowfeild (if exist) will cause you troubles.

You also will have trouble with the no series, if you want an autoseries.

No don't do this.

Use 1 company as the master table and have 5 synchronize tasks in the others.

In NAV5 we have created this and is stable.

or another solution:

In NAV6 we have 1 entity=company and we use dimension 1 for the company.

Both require some work.
