I need to write several dataports to copy customers and items between two separate databases. Is there a way to quick copy all fields of customer table into dataport fields.
Click and hold on upper left corner of Field Menu. All entries get highlighted
Just click there, no hold needed. Or use Ctrl+A shortcut to select all. You may highlight any number of fields and those highlighted will be added as dataport fields in the next step.
Clicking on the Field Designer window without dragging works also (actually anywhere outside the Field Menu window but inside NAV).
There is no way known to me to easily avoid FlowFilter and FlowField type fields. Either delete them afterwards or create a skeleton Dataport as txt file either by creating a NAV object that writes it, or by snatching a list of fields to the clipboard and then using your favorite text editor. For the former, use the Field virtual table, for the latter you may also use the table designer with the Field Class column shown.
