Tool to Remove source and vars from tables

While upgrading I want to merge new fields in existing tables. For this I can import the fob and say as action: Existing <- New
This is working ok but sometimes the new fields has some source code and variables included with the new field. The import stops.
Is there a tool to remove all source from a txt file or a trick?

we generally press Ctrl+A to select all code and delete.
similarly delete all variables, text constants and functions (if necessary) and save the object.
I know its manual process, lets see if someone has a trick0 -

Always used the same approach when merging fields on table and porting manually source: for more complex tasks I use MergeTool.* Daniele Rebussi * | * Rebu NAV Diary *0 -
