Item Serial Number Report

Hi Friends
I would like some guidance in creating Item Serial Number Report.
One of my client has Item Serial Numbers duplicated for multiple items. I need to tell them the number of serial numbers are duplicated for items, and the list of Serial Numbers posted for Item Codes.
Please, if you can tell me the best way to generate this report whether using SQL Query or developing a report.
