Problem with number format when exporting to Excel

In many countries we have the that Excel does not recognize the number format when trying to export data from NAV to Excel using the Copy Rows function.

Both NAV and Excel are installed locally, so they should have the same regional settings, which are set to for example France. With copy & past, NAV exports a space as a 1000 seperator and although Excel would format it the same way, it does not recognize the number as number when exported from NAV. The format looks as follows:

123 456 789,01 France
123.456.789,01 Germany
123'456'789.01 Switzerland
123,456,789.01 United States

The three examples below France are ok, so when exporting data from NAV Excel recognizes the numbers as numbers. But not for France. Any ideas?

I think the number for France is not recognized as number due to the two Spaces. I did the same on my labtop with Danish as the default language, but US English Excel. And 17.728,3 gives a number and 17 728.3 gives a 'general' format. So file it as a RFH for the Microsoft Dynamics NAV team.
