Trouble in installation of nav 2013 r2. Setup gets rollback

Hi All
I'm trying to install Nav 2013 R2. When i run the setup ,it execution gets roll back. i dont understand whats gone wrong.

Anyone plz help me out of this..

Can you check the installation log file? When the error comes out you should be able to view it using the button on the left, it usually provides more details.

Check also if you don't have any Windows Update installation pending, yesteday I went crazy because of that! :-#

Can try again stopping your antivirus? Maybe there's a protection rule blocking the installation (something like "Prevent programs registering to autorun").

Hello,
anybody found a solution to this issue? It seems the problem is with antivirus software (McAfee), and VC++ is not installed properly (registry entries are not there) so installation fails when it starts searching for registry entry.

Maybe somebody found a workaround?

There is no anti virus software installed in my system.

For troubleshooting I suggest also to give a try installing Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 standalone (in other words outside NAV installation, running directly vcredist_x86.exe with "Run as administrator" option).

Thanks Geordie I have solved the issue by running vcredist_x86.exe with "Run as administrator" option.
