Hi,
I performed following steps for upgrade, but when i go and check the objects, there are many changes like User profile table is replaced by user table having completely different field set.

1. Created copy of the Production db, that is already in Nav 2013, performed Build server application objects options (there were some issues after this step, but i think those were not related to this step) & imported the License (that was Nav 2012), as the Nav 2013 R2 license was not available with me at that time.

2. Converted the Nav 2013 db, by opening it with Nav 2013 R2, then again performed the "Build server application objects" step, which gives a list of errors, resolved them.
Now when i see the Server instance name at file->database->information.. i see blank field, if i look up to the page, the page is also blank.

I tried creating the new server instance & tried entering the server instance name and ports at tools->options.
Still the server instance name & connection to RTC is not working.

Did you install NAV2013R2 or you are creating service for NAV2013 only?

Install Nav 2013 R2 and have created service for the same.

    Got it :D

I resolved the issue via setting the permissions at the SQL, that was occured while connecting to RTC,
"The SELECT permission was denied on the object 'Object Metadata', database '', schema 'dbo' + navision", and on restarting the service. The issue was solved, and now the server instance issue. It got connected.
